Truecaller is having a lot of security concerns. Remember that it is one of the applications advised by the Indian government as unsafe and the government asked the defense person to remove the application from their phone.
- It takes your contacts database with your concern or without. Many illiterate users don't know about this and storing the contact information with some pet names for their girlfriend. The result is a very big insult to the girl when she is calling someone and the person saw the pet name through Truecaller.
- Even more serious is Truecaller is watching your clipboard. So if you copy-paste password and credit card number from some other applications it is silently transferred to the Truecaller database.
